Greg C. Truax is a filmmaker and president of GCTMediaGroup, a film production studio, online magazine publisher, radio show producer, and creator of written and broadcast opinion commentary.

The Tampa, Florida-based company’s porfolio of media brands includes CornickFilm, AliveTampaBay, and OnThePoint, a radio show on WHBO AM 1040 and posted as a podcast on AliveTampaBay.

Greg grew up in St. Petersburg, attended Pinellas County public schools and graduated from St. Petersburg Jr. College and the University of South Florida with a BA in Mass Communications.

Greg has broad experience in business and the film and media industry.  He has anchored a television interview show, a radio talk show, is a veteran radio and television commentator, and has worked in the fields of journalism, public relations, advertising and investment management.

Over the years, Greg has been active in civic and public affairs.  This includes appointments to boards by two Florida governors, Democrat Bob Graham and Republican Charlie Crist.  He  was a founding board member and vice chair of the The Poynter Institute for Media Studies Foundation Board, a vice president of the United Way of Greater Tampa, chairman of the Internal Promotions Council of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce,  a board member of the Suicide and Crisis Center and an appointed member of the Tampa Hillsborough Expressway Authority and the Hillsborough County Citizens Advisory Committee.

Greg lives in Tampa and Pass-a-Grille Beach, Florida.
